Greene County School District recognizes athletics as one of the many educational experiences provided for youth during school years. The athletic program strives to contribute to the optimum development of participants at all levels. It also serves as an important tool for developing desirable behavior patterns and attitudes.

Athletics is one way a student achieves higher standards of mental, moral, social and physical fitness. Through athletic competition players relate the rules of the game to the rules of life. In Greene County, athletics is a means to help develop well-rounded individuals.
